The participants are not just actors, they are also characters leading double lives that intertwine through the storyline. Cest La Vie means making things happen, and having the audacity to obtain what one wants even if it means stopping everything and taking the time to give intense pleasure to two or three people wherever one happens to be. In a city, a young man, a married workman, a librarian, a nurse, and a clerk all in turn come up against the reality of existence!
